I try to take this class but was running into so many issue; Maybe it’s not for me I can take the other wordpress classes with easy but this one I am just having issues with.
This course requires paying very close attention to what you are doing and a high level of coding experience. At times it may be easier to reverse engineer a specific movie from the snapshots from the next movie rather than building it from scratch.
I was able to complete this course only because I was using the code snippets. I also completed the next one, which is based on My Simone – Building a One-Page Style site. It was much easier than the previous one. In fact, I decided to adopt the theme for my portfolio. At the end of the course you said you are interested in how others use your themes for their needs. It will be great if you can examine it when I’m done and give your opinion.
Just finished the class on Lynda 🙂 I’ve used WordPress for years but I know way more now than I ever have. Excellent job putting it together.
How do i build my own theme?
Nice update #moreten! I’ve once tried building a wp theme from trash some weeks ago but got stucked at the long run, I think I’ve lost interest in wp though leaving wp for blogger….
Hmmm, let me see how far I could go in crafting a wp theme;that could help in restoring me to wp.
Do have a nice day sir!!!!!
How do I exclude certain posts from appearing on my blog page?
I found another tutorial with the answer and steps…Building a One-Page Style Site
but it still shows up in the sidebar widget and the paging nav on the posts???
Great post!
Been using _S a lot lately, but you have a different style of coding.. looks like I’ll have to adapt 🙂
