Conversations with Mor10, Episode 4: WordCamp Vancouver 2012

WordPress wouldn’t exist without the WordPress community, and WordCamp is where the community comes out to play. Over the past two years I’ve had the honour of being a co-organizer of WordCamp Vancouver (WordCamp:Developers in 2011) and in that role I’ve met a lot of very interesting people.

WordCamp conferences focus the attention on leaders in the WordPress community, both local and international, but as any attendee will tell you, the attendees can be just as interesting. To put this to the test I geared up and interviewed random WordCamp Vancouver attendees for my podcast. It all started with a simple ice breaker: “Tell me a story about WordPress”. Conversations with Mor10, episode 2: Flynn O’Connor on JS, Swipe Behaviours and Responsive Development

Yep, I am finally re-launching my much talked about but pretty much non-existent podcast, Conversations with Mor10. The first (and until now only) episode was posted more than a year ago but now I’ve finally gotten my setup in order and I’m going to make a valiant effort to keep posting. There are several interesting interviews racked up in my queue so stay tuned.

In this 2nd installment of Conversations with Mor10 I chat with Vancouver WordPress developer Flynn O’Connor about his Vancouver WordPress Meetup Group talk entitled Customizing your WordPress site for the iPad. Flynn talks about his experiences with different JavaScript libraries and the challenges designers and developers face in the new reality of touch screens and swipe behaviours.

You can find Flynn at Fsquare Design and stalk him on Twitter @thoronas.

If you have any comments or questions regarding this podcast or you have suggestions on what or who I should talk to next drop me a line in the comments below.

The music featured in this podcast was created by my friend Jeremy Lim and is called Drop. If you’re interested in this type of music or just want to see all the cool stuff Jeremy is up to you should check out his current project fiftytwocreatives.
